Troops Chase Terrorists At Chad Border, Apprehend Human Butcher, Others
Nigerian security forces operating with the Multi-National Joint Task Force (MNJTF) repelled a dusk attack by terrorists in their bid to overrun markets in communities in the outskirts of Monguno and NNPC at New Marte, Borno State along Chadian border. The operation took place on March 6, 2014, Thursday.

The military recovered a cache of arms, comprising of at least 11 Kalashnikov rifles and over 50 assorted brands of grenades.
The area has been cordoned off, while the regular patrols has been set up. 

Security forces were also able to get useful information from the terrorists being captured. One of them, a human butcher, narrated that he had never used firearms, but preferred daggers and cutlasses for killing innocent people.

The Army faces hard tasks as it advances deeper into the enemy’s territory. However, the troops have embarked on aggressive patrolling in the areas where fleeing terrorists have been spotted.
