Some Moments ago, popular rapper, M.I, posted a picture of himself and this woman. On it he commented, 'I don't want fans, i want friends.. People who support when the fickle fades.... One of my fav friends @quinjes.'

An understanding of what the rapper implies, could be his desire for the company of people who would exist in his life, irrespective of the glitz and glamour.

Considering the amount of attention he gets from being one of Nigeria's finest rappers, one can only imagine the outstanding feat his lady friend (@quinjes) must have performed, to be singled out from the others.

Why the Presidency Has Appointed a Murder Suspect As Minister?

The family of former Attorney-General and Minister of Justice Chief Bola Ige, who was murdered at his home in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, in December, 2001, said that his killers will not find peace.

Muyiwa, son of late Chief Bola Ige, said the family was disappointed by President Goodluck Jonathan’s appointment of Alhaji Jelili Adesiyan, a suspect in Ige’s murder, as the Minister of Police Affairs.

Alhaji Jelili Adesiyan and Senator Iyiola Omisore were suspects in the murder, but the case was quashed years later by an Oyo State High Court.

In Lagos at the weekend, Ige's son spoke at a media parley organised by the National Legal Adviser of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Muiz Banire.

Ige's son said that "somebody like Adesiyan" would not be nominated, in the first instance, let alone approved by the National Assembly.

Kwara State Commissioner of Police, Ambrose Aisabor, on Thursday paraded a female student of College of Technology, Offa in Kwara, Miss Mary Awolola, said to be a cultist, for allegedly luring her friend to be gang-rapéd by five of her cult members.
Miss Mary confessed at the Police headquarters in Ilorin that she was also gang-rapéd much earlier by four boys before she was initiated into the cult group.

She confessed that she lured her friend to be rapéd by her cultist friends because she refused to join them in spite of the pressure she mounted on her girl friend…

 Mary also said she regretted her action having been arrested by the Police and more importantly that she was not gaining anything from the cult activities. “I did not gain anything from cultism. I regret all my actions.”

Obasanjo: Opposition Can’t Ignore Amosun’s Achievements

Former Nigerian President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo has praised the Ogun State Governor Ibikunle Amosun, saying the achievements of Amosun's administration cannot be denied by the opposition.

The former chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP’s) Board of Trustees spoke in Abeokuta on Tuesday at his 77th birthday celebration at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL).

He said although the assessment of public office holders is better seen when they are out power, he would like to appraise Amosun now.

The Portuguese, who likes to be addressed as the special one, believes there is no need to change the regulations governing coaches’ technical areas in the wake of Alan Pardew’s clash with Hull’s David Meyler.

Newcastle manager Pardew is facing punishment after admitting an FA charge of head-butting the Hull midfielder.

Pardew’s actions were condemned by the League Managers’ Association chief executive Richard Bevan who revealed the design of touchline technical areas is currently under review.

But Chelsea manager Mourinho, who was charged after a touchline clash with Barcelona assistant coach Tito Vilanova when he was in charge of Real Madrid, insists the current arrangement works well.

“I don’t think change is needed. I never had a problem to share a short space with other managers,” Mourinho said on Friday.

“In many stadiums, it looks like there’s only one dug-out for everybody and that’s not a problem.

Boko Haram: Troops Chase Terrorists At Chad Border, Apprehend Human Butcher, Others (PHOTOS)

Nigerian security forces operating with the Multi-National Joint Task Force (MNJTF) repelled a dusk attack by terrorists in their bid to overrun markets in communities in the outskirts of Monguno and NNPC at New Marte, Borno State along Chadian border. The operation took place on March 6, 2014, Thursday.

The military recovered a cache of arms, comprising of at least 11 Kalashnikov rifles and over 50 assorted brands of grenades.

The area has been cordoned off, while the regular patrols has been set up. 

Security forces were also able to get useful information from the terrorists being captured. One of them, a human butcher, narrated that he had never used firearms, but preferred daggers and cutlasses for killing innocent people.

The Army faces hard tasks as it advances deeper into the enemy’s territory. However, the troops have embarked on aggressive patrolling in the areas where fleeing terrorists have been spotted.

Two police officers have been filmed beating, throttling and kicking a naked man in the Cape Town, South Africa.

According to the video of the incident uploaded on Facebook on Thursday night, it shows two police officers accosting a man dressed in a pair of briefs near the open boot of a Volkswagen Golf. An office worker filmed part of the assault from a nearby building.

Two Central City Improvement District (CCID) officers and a private security guard are also on the scene.

 

A police officer and an officer from the CCID pull the man away from the car and into the street. The CCID officer pulls down the man’s briefs. The victim struggles to get away, but the two police officers grab his wrists. One of the officers throttles the man with his right hand before pinning the victim’s hands behind his back. The officer is assisted by the security guard.

Amy James, Emily’s mom, showed her daughter pictures of kids with cancer who had lost their hair after chemotherapy. 

Amy explained that if Emily was willing to shorten her hair then they would donate it so wigs for sick children could be made of it.

 The woman wasn’t expecting that her daughter would agree knowing that she has been dreading getting her hair cut but Emily totally surprised her.

BREAKING: Gunmen Rain Gunfire On Plateau Community (Updated)

Another attack happened this morning in Plateau State as some unknown gunmen attacked Rim and areas of Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State

Sources say that everyone from the area right now is on the run from the attackers. One Emmanuel who resides in the affected area said during a phone interview with journalist at about 8:00 a.m that: “the sounds of the gun shots are ongoing as I speak with you.  For now we are not sure of how many people are killed. We are calling for assistance of security agents to come to our aid.”

‪The resident said the gunshots started in the late hours on Tuesday night and continued all night.

UPDATE: The Plateau police spokesperson, Felicia Anslem, confirmed the incident.

She said 9 people were killed in the attack and many houses burnt to ashes.

However resident from the area disagree saying that at least 16 people were killed and about 200 houses were burnt down.

Why Obasanjo Is Hiding His Real Birth Date – Close Friend Reveals

The Olowu of Owu Kingdom, Ogun State, Oba Adegboyega Dosunmu, has said that former President Olusegun Obasanjo, knows his correct birth date but won’t disclose it to anybody.

Dosunmu who described Obasanjo as his “close friend” and “Balogun Owu,” noted that the former President decided to keep the date to himself but was in the habit of telling people he was “born in Ibogun a day before Ifo market day.”

The monarch said this in his brief remark this morning at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL), Abeokuta, at the occasion marking the 77th birthday of the former President.

Although, Oba Dosunmu did not reveal the date, but advised that people should pay more attention that aspect of Obasanjo’s life that is “quite obvious” yet remain unknown to many.
