The video captures the mad moment stuntman Alexander Chernikov set himself alight then jumped off the roof into a pile of snow.
This
amateur stuntman shocked onlookers when he climbed on to a roof, set
himself on fire then leaped to the snow-covered ground.
Dressed in
bright purple, the 22-year-old spent a week preparing for the dizzying
stunt, which was being filmed by his accomplice on the ground.
He
searched Barnaul, Russia, for a building to jump from - to ensure his
dramatic fall would be cushioned by a thick layer of snow on the ground.
Then he bought asbestos cloth which he wrapped around his legs under his trousers to stop himself from being burnt.
He said: "I climbed onto the roof and chose the angle from which to jump better, with a much better distribution of snow."
